SVP and Chief Engineer, Center for Internet Security
Marcus H. Sachs is the Senior VP & Chief Engineer for the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®). He advises CIS leadership on engineering practices and processes; he also participates in the design, development, and review of CIS products and services. Sachs represents CIS in a variety of public forums and activities and serves as an internationally recognized thought leader and advocate for CIS best practices, solutions, and offerings. Sachs retired from the US Army in January 2002 after serving a distinguished 20-year career as a Corps of Engineers and Systems Automation officer. After his military retirement, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve in the White House Office of Cyberspace Security. In May 2003, he joined the DHS as the first Cyber Program Director.
