There’s a need for the open source community to work together to improve its commitment to security practices. Microsoft has become an enthusiastic community member, growing our use of open source significantly over the past decade. This session will share lessons learned and highlight ways the community is collaborating to ensure security is integrated in every aspect of open source development.

Learning Objectives:
1: Understand considerations for building security in from the outset of development.
2: Learn how to evaluate security risks with existing code libraries and be better prepared to mitigate.
3: Learn techniques for improving security in open source code.
