Catherine Barrett is Cyber Policy Principal with the MITRE Corporation. Prior to joining MITRE, she worked as a Consultant for Booz and Company in Sydney, Australia, and is a former lobbyist and US Senate Staffer. Her publications with the American Bar Association (ABA) include “Are the EU GDPR and the California CCPA Becoming the De-facto Global Standards for Data Privacy and Protection?” in the SciTech Lawyer (March 4, 2019) and the book What is Telemedicine?, published in 2015. Professional memberships include ABA, ISC2, and the IAPP. She earned her JD/MBA from American University and is currently pursuing a master of science in information and communications technology from the University of Denver.
