RSAC Cybersecurity Insights & Futures, Volume 4

Posted on in Research

RSAC™ Cybersecurity Insights & Futures, Volume 4 analyzes the cybersecurity community’s 2026 data to determine how close the predictions that RSAC published in 2025’s Volume 1 and Volume 2 reports came to being correct.

We assign letter grades to our projections (79% of them received passing scores) and explain those grades, plus we unveil RSAC’S predictions for 2027. Further, we advise cybersecurity leaders on what to do about those projections. Here’s a sample of what you’ll find in Volume 4:

  • US CISOs can worry less about personal liability for breaches in 2026
  • Post-quantum startup activity will hold steady in 2027
  • We stand by our prediction of a cyberinsurance premium rise in late 2026
  • One year later than predicted, supply chain security will return to the community’s Top 10 in 2027
  • All security staffers should experiment with vibe-coding
  • AppSec experts must build Agentic AI security skills
