Cyber-Heist: Two Bytes to $951m—Collaborate to Defend

In February 2016 one of the largest cyber-heists was committed and subsequently disclosed. An attacker gained access to the Bangladesh Bank’s interface to the SWIFT network and stole $81m. Threat intelligence experts at BAE uncovered the means of the attack and are now working with SWIFT to support the customer information sharing initiative to strengthen cybersecurity across the global community.
