This session will present common coding pitfalls of mobile app developers, present their real-world ramifications and provide guidance on how to avoid them. The presentation will include demonstrations of techniques that attackers use to overcome the different protection layers provided by the OS stack, as well as code samples that can help better design apps against those risks.
Learning Objectives:
1: Learn the mistakes most app developers make but no one will admit to.
2: Understand how attackers exploit common coding pitfalls to compromise user and corporate data.
3: Find out how to defend your apps against a wide threat landscape via code samples and best practices.
Pre-Requisites:
Background in network security and MiTM attacks. Background in mobile operating systems and app development. Swift/Java understanding would be an advantage, but is not required.
