We are very excited to introduce Crowdsourced Submissions at RSA® Conference 2015! This is an opportunity for the public to vote on sessions of interest. We know you have great ideas and terrific conversation topics—the quality and quantity of submissions for the traditional tracks was at an all time high this year—so here’s your chance to still be part of the RSA Conference program.

Submissions are welcome on any topic that you believe would be of interest to RSA Conference attendees. Remember that our attendees are seasoned security experts. They expect intermediate to advanced level content that will help them in their jobs; entry level or definitional content does not fly with this crowd. This is NOT the place for product or service pitches—remember your peers are voting on topics they want to hear about, and the judges at the end of the process will help keep it all honest.

Make your submission stand out from others—session detail matters a lot, original research is very intriguing and personal experience from an end user perspective is always well received. This track should be unique. Plan to interact heavily with your audience, ask questions, provoke conversation, present early stage ideas, get feedback and inspire discussion.

“Create dialogue, not monologue” is the mantra with this content…..involve your audience in a full and vibrant 50-minute session. Remember that crowdsourced sessions will be open to any RSA Conference badge holder.

Detailed information and an FAQ are available on our website; here’s a quick rundown. You can submit as many sessions as you want (though keep in mind the public is your first line judge….and no one likes a spammer). The submission window opens Jan. 29 and runs all the way to Feb. 27. Once all of the submissions are received (this is a hard deadline—there will be no extensions!), they will be formatted by our team and voting will open on March 12. You will receive a Promotional Toolkit filled with tools to help publicize your session. Social media outreach is key. Voting will be open to the public and they can vote for an unlimited number of sessions. We’ll be weighting the votes as follows: non-Conference attendees’ vote will count as one point and Conference attendees (any badge level—logged in with their credentials) will count as two points. The top 25 sessions by vote volume will then be vetted by our awesome panel of judges, who’ll select the winning 12 sessions for the program (they’ll also review the final presentations/session plans to make sure attendees get what they voted for!).
