IAPP Makes CPEs Easy to Earn at RSA Conference
RSA Conference is proud to partner with several cybersecurity associations in our shared mission of advancing the professional development of practitioners at all levels and across all sectors of the industry. Education is our shared goal, and because of that, we want to take the time to highlight some of the organizations we work with.
This first blog in our three-part series looks at the International Association of Privacy Professionals, commonly known as IAPP, the world’s largest community of privacy professionals whose mission is to advance the careers of privacy practitioners. Founded in 2000, the IAPP is a not-for-profit association that offers credentialing programs for thousands of members. In addition to offering its own conferences and professional development opportunities, IAPP also encourages its members to pursue a wide variety of educational opportunities for which they can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. The IAPP honors individual learning and understands that people consume information in different ways. Here are a few examples of how individual members of the IAPP can earn CPEs through RSA Conference.
IAPP Credits at RSAC 2022
On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the IAPP will host a four-hour seminar, IAPP: Engineering Privacy – Embedding Privacy by Design Across the Enterprise. Included in this seminar is an abbreviated version of IAPP’s training for the Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification. Additionally, each participant will receive an online, self-paced CIPT training bundle.
While we do have a privacy track, the topic of privacy is prominent across the RSAC 2022 agenda. This year, Conference sessions go beyond traditional discussions of Data Protection and Privacy Development Around the World to include important conversations about Nonconsensual Tracking and Victim Safety and Drones and Autonomous Vehicles: Privacy & Security vs. Surveillance. IAPP members can earn up to 12 credits for attending these and other sessions that examine the many facets of what privacy means in today’s interconnected world.
