Sounil Yu is a Christian, husband, and father with 30+ years of security experience. He's the Creator of the Cyber Defense Matrix and the DIE Triad, member of the IANS Faculty, Sr Fellow at GMU Scalia Law School's National Security Institute, Guest Lecturer at Carnegie Mellon, and Advisor to many startups. Sounil is the Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer at Knostic and previously served as JupiterOne's CISO, YL Ventures' CISO-in-Residence, and Bank of America's Chief Security Scientist. He has 20+ granted patents, is a recipient of the SANS Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame. Although on occasion he is forced to write about himself in the third person, he would rather meet people in first person to share experiences and new ideas.
