Sarah Barrington is an Information Science PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley. She is part of Professor Hany Farid’s internationally recognized digital forensics lab and holds multiple cybersecurity scholar and fellow positions across campus. Her research explores the implications of AI technologies, ranging from forensic misidentification to misinformation warfare. Sarah's work has been featured at the 2023 Nobel Prize Summit, recognized by the United Nations, and published in Nature Scientific Reports. She holds two master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge and Berkeley. Prior to Berkeley, Sarah was an Engineer and Data Scientist at McLaren Formula One, founded two start-ups, and won the 2021-22 Fulbright Award to represent the UK as an international scholar.
