Rob Joyce is the Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator and acting Deputy Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Advisor to the President at the White House. Joyce leads the development of national and international cybersecurity strategy and policy for the United States and oversees implementation of those policies; in this capacity, he ensures that the Federal Government is effectively partnering with the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, other branches and levels of government, and other nations. Before to coming to the White House, Joyce served at the NSA for over 27 years, holding various leadership positions within both focus areas of NSA: the Information Assurance and Signals Intelligence missions. He holds degrees in electrical and computer engineering.
