Rob Joyce, the White House Cybersecurity Coordinator, will be joined in a fireside chat by Mark McLaughlin, past Chairman and current member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) as well as a leader in public-private partnerships. A key discussion item will be the Federal government’s plans to imposes costs to nation state actors who attack or interfere with the US. In addition, the conversation will include items such as the comparative potential and impact of bilateral agreements and multilateral strategies; the creation of norms and processes for responsible nations to identify and impose costs on irresponsible nations; strategies to mitigate cyber work force issues; and current efforts to migrate the Federal government to a more sustainable, cloud based environment. Included will be potential roles for the private sector.
