State Cybersecurity Officer & Principal Homeland Security Advisor, State of Rhode Island
Mike joined the administration of RI Governor Gina Raimondo in 2017 as the state’s first Cyber Security Officer; quickly thereafter appointed as her Principal Advisor for Homeland Security. His US Navy career included deployments flying the A6 Intruder and concluded with a cyber-related leadership position with the NSA. His private sector career includes ten plus years with Northrop Grumman and two years at National Grid working on the digital risk & security challenges facing global critical infrastructure. Mike is a graduate of the National Defense University and serves on the Board of the Boston College, Masters of Cybersecurity Policy and Governance program. Mike is a University of Oxford, Oxford Martin School Associate and continues his ten-year affiliation with the UK CityForum cybersecurity masterclass event.
