Kim Wagner

With a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, Kim has been with Visa for 16 years. Kim currently leads Visa’s Applied Authentication Lab in the Identity and Risk Products organization, where he and his team use their expertise in biometrics, machine learning, payment security and cryptography to build new secure and convenient payment solutions. Kim has a background in security and cryptography and has 10 issued patents to his name, as well as around 15 patent applications. Outside of his work at Visa, he chairs the International Standards Organization’s (ISO’s) technical subcommittee in Security in Financial Services, and is Visa’s representative on the EMV Security Working Group.
