Ken Munro

Ken Munro is a security researcher and founder of UK’s largest independent penetration testing firm, now established in the USA. He and the team find and responsibly disclose upwards of 200 vulnerabilities per year, notably in connected products such as cars and smart homes devices. Some of these have resulted in products that don’t protect people’s data sufficiently being banned by regulatory authorities. However, he and the team prefer to help organisations to improve their product cybersecurity through high-end offensive security testing, through secure product design and architecture. The team has been recognised by Boeing for their responsible and ethical approach to vulnerability disclosure. Ken also sat on the board of CVE, a result of his expertise in responsible disclosure.
