Retired Brigadier General Greg Touhill is the Director of the world-renowned CERT division of Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute and serves on the faculty of CMU's Heinz College. He was appointed by President Obama as the first Federal Chief Information Security Officer of the US government and served in the US Department of Homeland Security as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications. He is a published author of works such as 'Cybersecurity for Executives: A Practical Guide' and 'Commercialization of Innovative Technologies.' Recipient of many professional awards, he was recently received the 2022 Baldrige Leadership Award in Cybersecurity, the General Michael Hayden Award for Public Service, and Security Magazine's top cyber leader.
