Tips for selecting a session
PRECONFERENCE
- Circle topics related to annual goals, projects or problems
- Check program and addendum
- Review detailed summaries in Program Guide, see how applicable sessions are goals or interests
- Transfer information to the pocket agenda – noting 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices
- If gaps – select something completely out of your area of expertise or comfort zone
- If conflicts, try to get an associate to cover some sessions
DURING THE CONFERENCE
- Check in with colleagues to see if they liked a particular presenter who is doing another talk later on. Readjust schedule if needed.
FINALLY:
- Avoid carrying anything but a note pad, pen and pocket agenda to the sessions.
- Don't forget to check out our sample agenda for first-time attendees!
