McCaul is currently serving his sixth term representing Texas’s 10th District in the United States Congress. The 10th District stretches from Austin to the Houston suburbs. In January of 2013, McCaul became Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, which has oversight of the Department of Homeland Security ensuring it is able to carry out its core mission of protecting the American people from terrorist attacks. McCaul is also a regular on the Sunday shows offering analysis and solutions for a nation-wide audience on the pressing issues of the day. A fourth generation Texan, McCaul earned a B.A. in business and history from Trinity University and holds a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. McCaul is married with five children.
