The accessibility dimension of human-centred security has not yet received much attention. Now that statutory and other essential services are increasingly requiring people to use online services, the need for accessible digital security and informational privacy has become far more pressing. The reality is that, for many, digital control measures are often exasperatingly inaccessible. In this talk we argue that we need to design accessibility into these systems, or risk excluding and marginalizing swathes of the population. In our talk we discuss the challenge of designing inclusive cybersecurity systems and set out approaches for tackling the challenge.
