In statistics, a degree of freedom is a variable in an equation that can change without impacting the outcome. For example, the colour of a delivery truck is a degree of freedom but not the absence of a rain cover. This session will demonstrate what we can learn from mathematics and other fields and how we can identify and leverage degrees of freedom in information security.
Presented by Hugh Thompson, Programme Committee Chair, RSA Conference at RSA Conference Europe 2013.
