This is part one of the RSAC 365 Virtual Seminar: Identity which took place on December 15, 2021.

Session 1: Identity Underground: Exploring the Evolving Identity Threat Landscape

Going passwordless was intended to relieve the burden of password managers and multi-factor authentication, but cybercriminals are now stealing session tokens or cookies. As identity teams implement new and emerging authentication technologies, attackers continue to find novel methods of attack. This session will look at varying geo and industry trends as well as new and emerging threats to identity from scams to fraud.

Session 2: The Who, What, Where, When, Why and Hows of Implementing an Identity-Centric Security Strategy

Though focused primarily on federal agencies, the cybersecurity Executive Order released in May has driven changes in how organizations in both the public and private sector are approaching cybersecurity, and prompted a more strategic focus on the identity “layer” of cybersecurity architectures. Central to this is a focus on Zero Trust Architectures. But buzz words don’t make a security strategy. In this session, we will look at topics like Zero Trust and Decentralized Identity and explore how enterprises can best apply a robust identity and access management (IAM) framework to deliver an identity-centric security strategy.
