Catch Me if You Can’s Frank Abagnale to Deliver Closing Keynote at RSA Conference Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE – April 22, 2013 – RSA Conference (www.rsaconference.com), the world’s leading information security conferences and expositions, today announced that guest speaker and famous fraud expert, Frank Abagnale will deliver the Conference’s closing keynote on Thursday, June 6 at RSA Conference Asia Pacific 2013 in Singapore. Abagnale is the subject of the best-selling book, hit movie and Broadway musical, "Catch Me if You Can".
Held at Marina Bay Sands from June 5 to 6, the RSA Conference Asia Pacific aims to grow the region’s and Singapore’s cyber security thought-leadership sphere by creating value-added platforms to discuss the challenges and solutions in today’s increasingly complex security environment. RSA Conference is collaborating with the Safety and Security Industry Programme Office (SSIPO) and the Singapore Tourism Board to launch the inaugural Asia Pacific edition of the global conference. SSIPO is a strategic alliance between the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) through which companies can work with the public sector through public-private partnerships to testbed innovative solutions in a live operational environment in Singapore.
RSA Conference is helping to drive the information security agenda worldwide with annual industry events in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Since its initiation in 1991, RSA Conference has consistently attracted the world's best and brightest in the field, creating opportunities for Conference attendees to learn about IT security's most important issues through first-hand interactions with peers, luminaries and emerging and established companies.
With the digital era ushering in an increased awareness of the security threats in the cyberspace, participants will learn about IT security challenges from both a global and Asia Pacific perspective through a series of keynote sessions presented by leading security industry experts and guests speakers. The RSA Conference Asia Pacific 2013 will feature approximately 50 sessions spanning the following five tracks:
- Cybercrime and Law Enforcement
- Mobile Security
- Security Infrastructure
- Cloud Security
- Data and Application Security
The Cybercrime and Law Enforcement track, specifically developed for RSA Conference Asia Pacific, will discuss cybercrime and its effect on all stakeholders, bringing in law enforcement perspectives and looking into digital forensics techniques and strategies in tackling cybercrimes. This is a demonstration of the intent of both SSIPO and RSA to enter into meaningful public-private partnerships to address security threats, which hopes to offer valuable insight and raise common awareness of cyber threats, especially as cybercrime and cyber security pose greater challenges in an increasingly connected Asia Pacific region.
