Two new lockpicking books from Deviant Ollam

Posted on by Ben Rothke

In Keys to the Kingdom: Impressioning, Privilege Escalation, Bumping, and Other Key-Based Attacks Against Physical Locks, author Deviant Ollam notes that lock picking has become a popular topic with many in the information security community.  In many ways, attacking a lock is similar in approach to a web or application attack.

In Practical Lock Picking: A Physical Penetration Tester's Training Guide, Ollam has an introductory text for beginners to use to understanding the fundamentals of lockpicking.

Hackers, pen testers, the curious and those that like to take things apart and understand how they work will find Keys to the Kingdom and Practical Lock Picking to be fascinating books.

Full review to follow.
