StoryCorps @ RSAC: You Need to Shine Your Light

Posted on by Jennifer Lawinski

Welcome to the StoryCorps @ RSAC podcast series! Every month we'll be featuring a different conversation between cybersecurity professionals about their lives, the industry and the future of cybersecurity.

How can we make sure our kids stay healthy and resiliant in our digital world?

The biggest impact you can have as a parent and cyber-professional is working with kids to teach them about cybersecurity and cybersafety, according to Ben Jun, security architect and CEO of HVF Labs, and Theresa Payton, privacy expert and CEO at Fortalice.

"it started with watching some of my friends’ kids get bullied and realizing that I couldn’t be there to help them all the time, but what I could do is teach them how to not worry about that so much, because they could be independent on their own," Jun says in this StoryCorps @ RSAC podcast.

How can you make sure your kids are shining their lights instead of falling prey to the darkness of the Internet? Listen here to find out.

This podcast was produced by RSA Conference with interviews recorded by StoryCorps, a national non-profit whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share and preserve the stories of our lives:www.storycorps.org.
