Professor Andy McAfee, the renowned MIT fellow, kicked off this morning’s keynotes to a full room of intrigued listeners. He really is an engaging speaker with a compelling style and perspective……he even got the audience playing “Jeopardy”. Speakers from Splunk, Qualys and Cisco followed, before the Exhibition opened and track sessions kicked-off.
Like yesterday, the Exhibition was jam-packed, with attendees queuing up to talk to our 70+ sponsors and exhibitors. New this year is a Demo Theatre where our sponsors delivered 20-minute sessions throughout the Conference. We’re always asked what the most popular give-away was and between magnums of champagne, and “selfie sticks” it’s hard to pick!
Track sessions ran throughout the day and we heard from Akamai, Baidu,, Cisco, Visa, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co., and Cadence to name but a few. It’s wonderful to see our attendees taking advantage of all the learning opportunities offered – we’ve even had a few enquiries about speaking at the Conference next year (Call for Speakers will open next February).
It’s been great to see the traffic on Twitter and our Twitter feed has been beamed live into the Exhibition so attendees can keep a constant eye on the conversation. A couple of notable tweets:
- “There is a very big crowd at the #RSAC APAC conference in Singapore – great to see! (@ThatDwayne)
- @amcafee amazing talk on the second machine age at #RSAC (@khannaanurag)
And the powerful closing keynote speaker, David Walsh, had us spellbound by his amazing story of the downfall of Lance Armstrong.
It’s hard to believe this year’s Conference is over, but we’ll back in Singapore next July for RSA Conference Asia Pacific & Japan 2015. Thanks to all our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and supporting organizations for coming together to celebrate our industry in this beautiful and thriving city.
