And just like that, RSAC 202has come to a close!

Notable announcements from the week include:

To recap, let’s take a look at the highlights from the fourth and final day of RSAC 2026:

The day kicked off with a conversation that always delivers immense value: the College Day Breakfast and Sponsor Panel. Experts from Walmart provided guidance and shared their expertise with a room full of college students looking to break into the dynamic field of cybersecurity.

The Cyber Threat Landscape: Year in Review, Future in Focus reflected on the most consequential cyberattacks of the past year and explored what lies ahead. The discussion underscored the growing risks tied to AI-driven threats and the urgent need for organizations to rethink how they prepare for the next wave of attacks.

In The Great Cyber Misconceptions: How Security Stories Mislead UsSANS Institute CEO James Lyne brought energy and clarity to the stage, challenging some of the most common narratives shaping cybersecurity today. Through engaging demonstrations, he encouraged attendees to question assumptions, separate hype from reality, and make more grounded security decisions.

Later, The Evolution of Cyber War: Inside the Making of ‘Midnight in the War Room’ delivered a powerful and human-centered discussion, in which the panel examined the emotional and societal dimensions of cyber conflict in a borderless frontier. Attendees learned how to discourage youth talent from turning to cybercrime and the social duty required to improve resilience.

In CISOs Unchained III, four former CISOs returned for a candid and insightful conversation on the realities of the role. Their discussion highlighted the continued evolution of the CISO position and the complexities leaders face as they navigate an increasingly demanding threat landscape.

RSAC 2026 closed on a high note with the 35th Anniversary Celebration, featuring a memorable conversation between acclaimed actor Hugh Jackman and RSAC Executive Chairman Dr. Hugh Thompson. The Hughs brought energy, reflection, and a fitting close to an impactful week.
