Yu Sasaki received Bachelors and Masters of Engineering degrees and PhD from The University of Electro-Communications. HIs PhD focus was symmetric-key cryptography. He is a researcher at NTT Secure Platform Laboratories, where the organization renewed to NTT Social Informatics Laboratories from 2020. He was a senior research fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a foreign guest researcher at NIST in US. Research interest is cryptography, including design and security analysis of symmetric-key cryptographic schemes. He served as co-editors-in-chief of The IACR Transactions on Symmetric Cryptology, and will be program co-chair of Asiacrypt 2024. He was awarded the test-of-time-award Asiacrypt 2024. He is the co-designer of SKINNY, internationally standardized by ISO.
