Yaron Sheffer is a Director of Security Product Development at Intuit. He has been on-and-off in the security field for many years and has held positions as a developer, manager, product manager and technology leader. He co-founded Porticor in 2011 and was its CTO until it was acquired by Intuit in 2015. Today, he is managing the Security R&D development team in Intuit’s Israel office, which includes the IDPS service development. In addition to his day job, Yaron is an active participant in standards activities. He initiated the TLS Best Practices document, RFC 7525, and is currently co-chairing the Security Events working group at the IETF. He holds a BSc in computer science from the Technion in Haifa and an MSc in computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
