Vincent Tang

Dr. Vincent Tang is the Deputy Director of ARPA-I and is performing the duties of the Director to establish the agency. Vincent comes from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he was the Principal Deputy Director of the National Ignition Facility and Photon Science (NIF&PS) Directorate. He was part of the senior management team supporting efforts to produce transformational capabilities for DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration, including the historic achievement of fusion ignition on the NIF. Earlier, Vincent was a program manager at DARPA and led multiple counter weapons of mass destruction initiatives. He was named Program Manager of the Year, a finalist for the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal, and was awarded DARPA’s Superior Public Service Medal.
