Timothy Blute serves as Director for NGA Future, where he assists and advises governors and state officials on how emerging technologies will impact government and state economies. Previously, he served as Program Director for the NGA Center for Best Practices Homeland Security & Public Safety Division, focusing on cybersecurity, public safety communications and information sharing. Prior to joining NGA, Blute served as Intelligence Analyst in the Counterterrorism Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, detailee to the Office of the General Counsel at the National Security Law Branch and intern for the US Department of the Treasury. Blute holds a JD from the American University Washington College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University.
