Timothy Brom is the Managing, Senior Technical Researcher, Embedded Systems Security at GRIMM specializing in automotive security research. Brom has over ten years of experience as a software developer with a focus on automotive, safety industries, critical aerospace and industrial control systems. Additionally, Brom has contributed extensively to the development of CanCat, GRIMM’s open source bus reverse-engineering tool, and has completed CAN BUS analysis of multiple ECUs. Brom is lead engineer on the development of GRIMM’s car-hacking workbenches. He has also had publications about car hacking tools and techniques, including Macchina M2.
