Assistant United States Attorney Tom Brown is the Deputy Chief for Cyber of the Complex Frauds Unit at the United States Attorney's Office in Manhattan. A federal prosecutor with more than 11 years’ experience, Brown leads a group of 15 AUSAs focused on prosecuting computer and intellectual property crimes. He has led some of the most complicated and sophisticated cyber prosecutions in the United States, including cases against the notorious underground drug website “Silk Road” and its operators, the hacker groups Anonymous and LulzSec and the digital currency exchange Liberty Reserve.
