Ted Schlein is a leading investor in cybersecurity and enterprise technology. The founding CEO of Fortify Software, Ted has led Kleiner Perkins in many successful investments including AlienVault, ArcSight, CarbonBlack, Chegg, ISS, LifeLock, Mandiant, Phantom Security, Oakley Networks and Shape Security. He currently serves on the board of directors of Area1, Chegg, FullStory, Interos, Incorta, IonicSecurity, IronNet, Rebellion, Synack, and Trusona. Prior to Kleiner Perkins Ted served as VP Enterprise Solutions at Symantec launching its commercial antivirus solution. Ted serves on the Board of Trustees and Board of Overseers of the Engineering School at the University of Pennsylvania; serves on the NSA Advisory Board, IQT Board of Trustees and is founder of the DoD sponsored DeVenCI program. Schlein often participates as an opinion leader in public, private and government forums, providing perspectives on security technology and related investments. Ted holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
