Taylor Wilson

In 2008, Taylor Wilson astounded the science world when, at 14, he became the youngest person ever to produce nuclear fusion. When Wilson’s anxious parents realized he had every intention of building his reactor in their garage, The University of Nevada offered a home for his early experiments. He then turned to fight nuclear terror in the nation's ports, by inventing a homemade radiation detector. His device won the top prize at the Intel’s International Science and Engineering Fair in 2011. He now intends to revolutionize the way we produce energy, fight cancer and combat terrorism using nuclear technology. He has developed a new class of nuclear power reactors designed to produce low cost, clean energy, while mitigating the safety problems of current nuclear power generation.
