Taras Vasyliv
Head of the Dispatching Control Systems Department, NPC UKRENERGO
Taras Vasyliv joined Ukrenergo in 2011 as a SCADA engineer in one of the company's regional divisions. Over the years, he progressed into various managerial roles with increasing responsibilities. Currently leading the Dispatching Control Systems Department with nearly 150 employees throughout Ukraine, Taras has managed successful projects enhancing the observability and manageability of the electric grid. Notable projects include the WAMS and the ongoing implementation of a new single-level SCADA, set to be completed by the end of 2024. Taras and his team at Ukrenergo effectively navigated new challenges amid a full-scale war. He is an active Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from ISC2.
