Simon Goldsmith

Simon Goldsmith is OVO Energy’s Director of Information Security. His background is in UK military and national security intelligence management and technology. After helping to lead the build of a commercial sector cybersecurity and financial crime business for a defense and aerospace multi-national, he spent two years with a Big Four consultancy and then led the Infosec program for a global sports brand. He has lived and worked in the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and has a particular interest in understanding the boundaries of cybersecurity, financial crime, and cybernetic systems engineering. A passion for sports and a short stint as a professional rugby player means he tends to overuse sports analogies to describe resilience and security teamwork and performance.
