Scott Rose works as a Computer Scientist at the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). Rose works on Internet infrastructure protection research and Internet protocol research. He is the editor of several IETF Request for Comments and the author of NIST Special Publications 800-81, 800-177 and most recently 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture. Rose's primary research focus is on the security and stability of core internet protocols. His current work is in bringing zero trust security understanding to the U.S. Government. Rose received his B.A. in Computer Science from The College of Wooster and his M.S. from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
