Roel Schouwenberg

Roel Schouwenberg is a Senior Researcher with Kaspersky Lab, working in its Global Research & Analysis Team. Currently, he's located in Boston, MA, USA. Schouwenberg has nearly a decade of malware research and analysis experience. He monitors the state of malware in North America providing advanced analysis of cyber incidents. He especially focuses on targeted attacks and improving proactive detection capabilities. He conducts research into file format parsing vulnerabilities such as malicious PDFs. He is also heavily involved with the issues of anti-malware testing and is one of the founding members of the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization.
