Robert Hackett is a Reporter at Fortune where he covers technology, business and digital security. He writes for the magazine and web, and regularly appears on video series such as Fortune Tech Debate and Fortune Live. He is the Founder of Cyber Saturday, a weekend edition of Fortune’s tech newsletter Data Sheet. Prior to joining Fortune in June 2014, Hackett served in various roles at Nautilus magazine, TED Conferences and Johnson & Johnson. His work has appeared on Time, Vice, Motherboard, VentureBeat, and elsewhere. Hackett holds a B.A. in chemistry and chemical biology and English with a double minor in history and science and technology studies from Cornell University, and an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He plays the bass guitar and is based in New York.
