Robert Buchheit
Global Head of IT Governance, Risk & Compliance - Group Information Security, Zurich Insurance Group
Robert Buchheit serves as Zurich’s Global Head of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance. Recently, Buchheit served an additional role in Hong Kong (ad interim) as the APAC regional CISO. He joined Zurich in 2010, establishing the group’s Information Security governance function. He leads a 40+ global team, which oversees IT standards and controls compliance, baseline controls assessments, key risk monitoring and metrics reporting. His career spans over 20 years in IT security and risk management, including 12 years as a security consultant with Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and maintains many professional certifications. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles with his wife Veronica.
