Richard Tonry is a Distinguished Engineer at Dell with over 25 years of hardware and firmware experience in the industry. During the first half of Richard's career, he gained extensive experience as an Electrical Engineer designing motherboards for Dell’s Client portfolio. Richard transitioned to a BIOS development role in 2007. He is now a Security Strategist. As the Firmware Security Strategist for Dell’s Client products, Richard provides the roadmaps and architecture of key strategic firmware security initiatives. Richard is also the Dell Firmware Security Advisor, driving security maturity initiative and Secure Development Lifecycle integration into firmware and hardware development processes, as well as being an Integral Developer of CSG’s Security Champion Program.
