Richard Struse

Rich Struse is the CTO of Tidal Security and is a globally recognized technology innovator who has led the development of new approaches and solutions in cybersecurity for over a decade. He was the co-founder and Director of MITRE’s Center for Threat-Informed Defense, where he worked with many of the most sophisticated enterprise cybersecurity organizations in the world to advance R&D in threat-informed defense globally. As the CTO of DHS’s NCCIC, he created the STIX and TAXII CTI sharing standards. In October 2014, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson presented him with one of the department’s highest honors, the Secretary’s Award for Excellence, for his pioneering work on STIX and TAXII. Struse was the co-founder of VOXEM, Inc. and began his technical career at Bell Laboratories.
