Ren Zhang works on the exciting field of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. His research interests also include security of P2P networks and cryptography. He enjoys solving challenging problems and participating in competitions, among which he won the first place in the professional category of NSUCRYPTO-2014. He has a bachelor’s in math and a master's in computer science, both from Peking University, China, and is currently a member of the COSIC research group, KU Leuven, Belgium, aiming for a doctoral degree in early 2018. Afterwards he will throw himself in the job market.
