Rachel OConnell

Rachel OConnell is one of the curators of GroovyFuture.com. She has spent the majority of her working life thinking, researching and collaborating with others to formulate innovative technology policies that enable tech-based companies to continue to deliver compelling products and services, whilst protecting end users and complying with legal and regulatory requirements. Rachel’s PhD focused on criminal activity online and explored the implications for investigative strategies. Rachel has been able to lead a number of influential research teams and policy groups and was Chief Security Officer of a social networking site called Bebo. Currently, Rachel contributes to the policy discussions underpinning electronic identities and age verification.
