Philip Reiner is the CEO of the Institute for Security and Technology, a global non-profit that bridges technologists and national security policymakers to solve emerging security threats. He holds positions as an Advisory Board Member for the AI Security Initiative at UC Berkeley’s CLTC, is an Affiliate at Stanford’s CISAC, and has taught cybersecurity at UC Berkeley. He previously served on President Obama’s National Security Council staff as the Senior Director for South Asia; as a civil servant in the OSD Policy at the Pentagon; and at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, in their Electronic Warfare, Remote Sensing, and Vision Systems units. He has a master’s degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a bachelor's in Comparative Religions from UCSB.
