Pete Ehlke

Pete Ehlke is Vice President of Operations Engineering at aboveproperty.com, a startup SaaS provider in the hotel and hospitality industry. With over 30 years designing, building, and managing systems installations in telecommunications, music recording and distribution, internet entertainment, and large hotel chains, he's built up a rich practice in monitoring, alerting, and the observability of distributed systems. Beyond his own systems, Pete was an early stage employee at Splunk, where he was instrumental in distilling sophisticated monitoring and observability strategy best practices based on the experiences of some of Splunk's largest customers.
