Peihan Miao is a Research Scientist in the Cryptography Group at Visa Research. Prior to joining Visa, Peihan received her PhD from UC Berkeley under the supervision of Prof. Sanjam Garg. Her PhD dissertation was on “Towards Secure Computation with Optimal Complexity.” During her PhD, she interned at Microsoft Research, Visa Research, Facebook and Google NYC. Before that, Peihan received her BS degree in computer science from ACM Honors Class at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Peihan's research interests lie broadly in cryptography and security, including secure computation, applied cryptography, secure authentication and blockchain.
