Paul Mehta is a senior research scientist for Accuvant Labs. Mehta's focus is on original research in areas such as binary analysis, exploit development, privilege escalation, and reverse engineering. Mehta previously worked at Google, where he developed various techniques for defending against the threat presented by JITengines, and was responsible for the theory and implementation of several key patches to Chrome that harden the javaskript engine against exploitation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of British Columbia, where his final project was the replacement of his advisor with a lisp-based natural language processing AI. The AI went on to earn a research fellowship and is widely held to be one of the most articulate members of the faculty.
