For the past 5 years, Paul has been Deputy Director Operations in the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). He was responsible for leading a large team of cyber security specialists with the task of identifying and countering cyber threats to UK national security. Paul was involved in establishing the UK’s new National Cyber Security Centre, including designing and delivering the cross-government cyber incident management function. Prior to this, Paul had a varied career in the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office covering a range of foreign policy and security issues and serving overseas in Nairobi, Moscow and Washington DC.
