Under Patrick Morley’s leadership, Carbon Black has grown from niche startup into endpoint security leader. He joined the company as CEO in 2007 and, since then, has led the team through several major milestones including: a merger with Bit9, three acquisitions, a company transition to a SaaS model, a successful IPO on NASDAQ (in 2018) and, most recently, a $2.1 billion sale to VMware. Morley now serves as the General Manager for VMware’s Security Business Unit. He has been recognized as one of the industry’s most thoughtful and reputable leaders.
